Welcome to Hemet Region Informed!

Thank you for visiting our website!

Our group is committed to keeping our community informed about city and county decisions that impact our neighborhoods. If you come across information that you believe deserves further investigation, please email us at [email protected].

Recently, we discovered—just three days before a City of Hemet council meeting—that a group was proposing to bring unincorporated areas such as East Hemet, Valle Vista, Diamond Valley, and the Tahquitz Area into the Hemet Sphere of Influence (SOI). This discovery prompted many residents to dive into the petition, asking important questions along the way. In doing so, we quickly learned how challenging it can be to get clear answers from both the city and the county. We realized that our community needed a centralized place to find reliable information, identify key contacts, and stay updated on local matters.

That’s why we created this website—to serve as a resource for everyone in our area. Here, we will:

  • Provide answers to emerging questions as we uncover them
  • Organize concerns raised on social media and investigate ongoing developments
  • Keep you informed about discussions that affect us, including decisions made by:
    • The City of Hemet
    • The Hemet Planning Commission
    • Riverside County officials
    • LAFCO (Local Agency Formation Commission)
    • The Riverside County Planning Commission

We are dedicated to keeping our community engaged and informed.

Sincerely,
Seeking Information

Thank you! If you would like signs, we can get them in bulk at a lower cost. You can also send letters. A template is being created for everyone to copy and send to county supervisors, city council, planning commissions, and LAFCO. We will post a downloadable document so anyone can use it. I will email you the template when we have finished it. A few of us have also been attending city council meetings and speaking during the appropriate time asking questions and letting the council have an official record of the concerns, even if the topic is not being discussed. We would love to have more people voicing their opinions about the potential annexation.
